Scouting for treasures!

I went to a recycle store (is that even the word for it in English?!) to just, well yeah, look around. I'm unbearably short on money right now, but I had an urge to find something. XD
AND I FOUND SOMETHING! And that's for mere 40DK, that's about 5€.

Look at my newfound treasures!!!

1#

2#

3#

1# Two incredible books! First a book by Jack London with two classical stories, "The Call of the Wild", and "White Fang", which I adored as a child. :) And then "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" by John le Carré.

2# Then a beautiful package of three vinyls with the whole score from Peter Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake.

3# And last, but not at least - the original Soundtrack from the Danish recording of the Swan Princess. (It was not intentional to find two "Swan" related products.)

But yesh! I am happy! :)

Born to die

Borrowed Music

Since I was little, I've always been extremely fascinated by the Violin.

I asked my parents if I could learn how to play it, but they agreed that it might be too expensive (yeah right, they'd probably just didn't want to listen at me practice...) BUT TAKE THAT PARENTS! I have borrowed one now from my friend Thomas, and I'm practicing to the joy of all ears in the home! XP I knew it was a difficult instrument - but what a challenge for the ear. I can barely practice for more than 10min, then my ears get: "PLAY THE RIGHT TUNE OR BUNNY DIIIIEES!"

Men helt sikkert! Det var rigtig flot! Prøvede at tage nogle billeder og udfordre ISO'en hvordan det er at tage billeder i tungsten lys.

Falling Awake

Right after musical rehearsal yesterday, I went along with some of my good friends to watch an opera called Falling Awake by Lasse Schwanenflügel Piasecki, and visualized by Jannie Rask. It was the 1.act, and later it will be possible to see the rest.

Sara Fusager appeared in the opera, and did a great job! It was very interesting - unique would be the word I would use. I am not used to watch works like that, so it was indeed an experience. I am not sure I understood it as well as I wanted to, but I think it's okay since I enjoyed the whole visual and auditive experience.

19th Birthday

Friday the 20th January I had my birthday. Pff, I hate that 365 goes so fast. I don't know what to do with that day. It always seem to come as a surprise to me, and this year I didn't really have time or money to throw a party... But I had a lovely birthday anyway, and my grandmother came by at Saturday.

I got some lovely gifts. Money, an AWESOME warm scarf and two CD's by my mother and farther, and a lovely card and a CD from my sister. My grandmother gave me chocolate (because I needed a present) and money.. :)

I had didn't go to school, since we got some canceled lessons and two lessons that was made virtual (assignments that can be made at home) So I started my day by getting some sleep, and later take a nice trip to Copenhagen short.

In the evening I went to a concert with the Danish band Murduck at Forbrændingen in Albertslund.
I really enjoyed! Good way to end the day. You can hear some from their last concert here:

Black Swan partitur

Hah!

87kr plus ca. 79kr i fragt...
Man sparer bare maks!!! XP

King Zimmer

I can't describe my love to Hans Zimmer's work. I find him one of the most talented film composers. One of my favourite scores is the number "All of them" from the film "King Arthur." The film itself was not that convincing, I really like the actors etc. but it was not amazing. The soundtrack on the other hand - waow...

I have listened to this track to death since it came with the film. The intention, the change in mood the atmosphere - everything makes it incredible! If you haven't listened to it before, please find time to play it one day! :)

I was watching the Danish band Murduck the 20th May, and it was AWESOME!!!

Go check put the music on their homepage!

I was going to help them with filming this concert, and I was really exited about it. :) It wouldn't just be a normal video recording off the stage, it would be ON stage as well! And not only that, but with tiny cameras monitored at the end of the guitars and the base! XD And I can only say, it looks amazing! I am really looking forward to put all the material together to an amazing live DVD!

Photos by Jacob Gren

When I was to move the movie recordings onto my computer the following day, I was still filled with Murduck fever after enjoying such an amazing concert and began to draw while the video was transferred. It ended up with a drawing that I wanted to share. XD I was inspired by their song: "Where is your crown." Well.. I added a crown to a murdered duck, how creative of me.. *cough* But I think it turned out okay, DAMN skeletons is a pain to draw/and none the less to add shades...

Insane piano motivation

Today when I was searching youtube for some songs, I fell over this artist again. I once heard some of it and downloaded on the page where he uploaded good quality of his songs. But today, when I found his channel again, I used over 2 hours just browsing his amazing library of piano covers he had made. And I sure downloaded them in good quality as well, and they are now (35 songs for now) on repeat.. It makes me relax so much, the emotion he puts into the piano playing is amazing.

I wish I could learn to play like him, it's insane.. :)
