WCS feelings
Okay. I shouldn't care. And it's over now. But I still have some things that is just lingering on my heart, lying in my head, that just have to be written, that is outside my "WCS report" and somewhat more personal.. What ever... I regret later..
- I have no idea how I made it to the WCS, I didn't feel worthy, but it doesn't mean I didn't appreciate it! It was an amazing experience, and I'm so happy to have met all the people there.. Thanks!
- No, my costumes are not perfect, no I don't see them as perfect at all, I have a lot to learn. I practice. I've been making costumes for barely 2 years, and in all 8 costumes - and that's the only things I ever sew, I don't have time or money for lessons. So bare with me.
- The missing props on the stage what ever, was at first a matter of economy. It would be nice to make some atmosphere thingies on the stage, but it would just be impossible for my sister and I to make it and bring it to Japan. I go to school that takes 85% of my day, I don't have time for a job = I honestly have no money, other that the money my mom can help me with, until I get the SU which is a help for people who study in Denmark. Where the heck would we get money to the costumes and super awesome big props? O.O
- To have the WCS in mind, was an extremely stressing thing to have for almost half a year. I had started a new school, I had started a musical, and lots of new things just happened. But I couldn't/wasn't aloud to go really into anything of it. And then suddenly some people felt like I let them down, or that I was just a stressing bitch that forgot everything and just fooled around.
It was an amazing experience, but when the Championship was over, my mind and body released all the stress, that had made me sleep bad at nights, make my body shake, and heart pounding for half a year - gone. It made me cry in Japan on the same evening, it was so many feelings and releasing of them that just fell down.
One of our judges at J-popcon 2009, named Skye, asked my sister and I, that if we won, would we be prepared? It was a hard question, but god I have no idea if it haven't been there.. Now even when it's over, I'm still not sure if I was prepared..? When there's spoken of talent in cosplaying, and personal mental development, I would probably say no, not at all. But it was so tempting, and so excitement. I felt it as a challenge, that I had to get through, whatever it would cost. And I'm glad that we got the opportunity to participate...

A huge step in the name of the cosplay!
Okay! Sorry I have no pictures..
But today I made a finished touch on my Tales of the Abyss costume!
AND NOW IT LOOK LIKE TEAR! WOOP!
That's a lovely relief. :) I'm gonna complete it tomorrow, and begin the preparations for the Will of the Abyss (correct the mistakes) and practice act! Woop.. :D

Nearly an update.
Okay... I haven't been good updating my blog lately.
Reason: The World Cosplay Summit...
I really can't wait to go to Japan and experience this fantastic event, but I can't deny that I'm not exhausted and extremely stressed either... :/
I still need to sew a lot, and our act is beginning to be a pain, since some of our moves can't seem to work.. And with all other stuff in my head, I'm extremely empty for constantly finding new methods and ways to do it... Many says: "Relax, and enjoy the event.." But I really can't. I can't do something, without truly trying doing my best... Also when some people are depending on you, I'm using every fiber in my brain to get this to work out the best...
Sometimes I get the feeling when I'm going to bed, that I don't have time for sleeping... But sleeping is underestimated, and I truly worship it.. XP But tomorrow there'll be 11 days before leaving to Japan, and that is not a pleasant thought - yet... I WANNA GO! But not yet. Please stress, be kind to me and make it possible for my sister and I to work this out, and have a nice time in Japan with the other participants from the other countries.. :/

New contact lenses!
Yesterday I received my contact lenses for Tear Grants! Oh my, I love Circle lenses! I never buy normal lenses again (unless it is for a boy, or natural look.) Circle lenses is loooove!

A new step forward to WCS..
Today I worked very hard together with my sister and Karina on my WCS costume..
Gosh, I had to make a corsage, and that is HELL of a work I tell you! I never tried anything like it!
But well, I got a little forward and that's how it HAS to be. stress! Tomorrow it's the 1st May, I loove that day, and to be together with fantastic people .. But I just can't .. I have to make this costume, and it's really - REALLY sad.. :/

Will of Abyss, work in progress.
The weekend have been about relaxing, and beginning on one of my WCS cosplays.
Short: WCS, World Cosplay Summit. It's a world competition settled in Japan, about Cosplay, Costume Play. Where you take a character form a japanese, manga/anime or game, craft it and dress up. Min søster og jeg vandt i November 2009 Danish Cosplay Summit, som betød vi skal til Japan til August og repræsentere Danmark til WCS.
Har arbejdet på Will of the Abyss(farven på billedet af hendes kjole er forkert, den er mere hvid/purple), fra serien Pandora Hearts. Jeg glæder mig så meget til det bliver færdigt, men det kræver jo en del arbejde. Har aldrig lavet et så kompliceret kostume før. Jeg fik kun lavet 13 roser, og startet på den inderste corsage hun har. Jeg mangler nogle metal stivere til at lave en krinoline (google it) et "stativ" til inde under kjolen der skal holde den ude til sidderne. Regner med at få det købt i næste uge, så jeg kan komme i gang. Det bliver meget nyt for mig at arbejde med det. So well, the current progress is this:
13 turkis roser, lækkert silket (DYRT!) omg, stof...
I alt 10 meter stof.. Woah.. Det bliver sejt når den store yderkjole skal kreeres. Glæder mig meget til min krinoline er færdig, så jeg kan måle ordentligt op. .
Jeg vil ikke bruge alt for mange indlæg i min blog på at beskrive hvordan og hvor meget jeg for lavet på mine WCS kostumer. What is World Cosplay Summit?

The World Cosplay Summit (世界コスプレサミット Sekai Kosupure Samitto), also known as WCS, is an annual international cosplay event that promotes friendly international exchange through Japanese pop culture. The event is hosted by TV Aichi and held in Nagoya, Japan. Since 2005 the event has held a cosplay contest, the World Cosplay Championship, thus the preliminary contests for the championship have been held in the respective countries of the participants. Because of the keen attention from abroad, as of 2008, three ministries of Japan give support to the event; the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MLIT), and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). Since 2005, the event is held over a two day period; the Cosplayer Parade is on the first day and the Cosplay Championship is on the second day.
